Frequently asked questions

Will I receive the plant in the photo?

No, the plants in our photos are examples. The plant you receive will not be the exact plant pictured, but will look similar. Plants are living things, and therefore what we ship will vary a little in size, shape, or color. We do our best to ensure all plants being shipped out are exemplary of what's in the listing. In other words, we don't ship ugly plants.

Do you accept returns?

We don't accept returns on plants. If you are unhappy with the plant you've received, please contact us and we'll try to remedy the situation.

How do you ship plants without damaging them?

Most plants will sustain a tiny bit of damage from shipping. Leaves tear or bend, some dirt spills out, etc. Most plants will arrive very thirsty, so be sure to give your plant a thorough watering when you receive it. But most of our customers have been very happy with our ability to ship plants—even fragile ones!—long distances. Just know that even in the best cases, plants arrive looking a little disheveled from the journey. (Sort of how you look after a 22-hour airplane ride.)

I'm not happy with the condition my plant arrived in. Can I get a refund?

If your plant arrived damaged to the point where it's not likely to survive, we are happy to refund your full purchase, including shipping. If your plant sustained damage but will continue to grow and thrive after some initial care, we'll work with you on providing a partial to full refund. We don't refund shipping charges if the plant is still alive.

How do I care for the plant after receiving it?

Plants arrive in need of water, so give it a good watering. Your plant will likely have some soil shaken loose during the shipping process, so prepare to re-pot your plant upon arrival, or at least refill some of the potting mix that was lost during shipment. For plant cuttings, you'll want to remove wrapping and tissue and add the plant to water immediately.
